Gene Verett (Chief Executive Officer) has over 17 years of experience in both

the extended stay and full service segments with Extended Stay Hotels and ITT Sheraton. He has been involved in opening and transitioning over 200 hotels. Prior to joining NextGen Hotels, he was responsible for managing over 300 million

dollars in assets for Extended Stay Hotels, an operator of 700+ hotels owned by the Blackstone group.

Leonard Verett (Chief Operating Officer) comes to NextGen Hotels with many years of sales and operations experience in the hotel industry. For the past 8 years, he has managed over $50 million worth of assets for Extended Stay Hotels. Hotels under his management won many industry awards for customer service and profitability during difficult economic cycles in the Northeast US. Prior to joining Extended Stay Hotels, he held various management positions in full service hotels and in the real estate industry.

Condo Hotel Management

Nextgen Hotels provides expertise in condo hotel management which include the operations, marketing and management of condo hotel properties.

We assist with the conversions of existing properties and discipline of being an excellent hotel operator along with being an expert condominium association management organization.

The integration of these two functions is critical to the long-term success of any condominium hotel development.

Distressed Hotel Management 

 NextGen Hotels established this program  in 2009 with a group of veteran lodging executives to provide management services to institutional lenders,receiverships and third party ownership groups. We have the expertise to help you stabilize the operation, reduce risks and position the property based on your individual ownership strategy. Our goal is to quickly assess the situation, develop a strategic action plan, implement as quickly as possible and if need be

leverage our network of buyers to assist in the sale of the property to minimize the financial drain for investors and owners.

Our veteran management team has experience over several market cycles and through a variety of industry conditions. We will take a close look at the

property’s physical plant, operations and marketing; create an operating budget

and formulate a tactical plan; engage a General Manager, if appropriate;

maintain accountability to implement all of the necessary action steps; and

communicate progress with the financial institution and/or owner on an ongoing basis. We immediately implement disciplined cost controls and optimize revenues quickly and cost effectively.

The team has worked successfully together and is each a specialist within their respective fields. The company’s management strategies include assessing hotel brand change, price segment repositioning, top-line growth, margin improvement via expense controls, strategic alliance affiliations and assessment of minimal capital expenditure upgrades to achieve the owners’ disposition strategy.
